Psalms 92:1-15 — A Song for the Sabbath
Ps.92.1-15
1A Psalm, a Song for the Sabbath day. 2It is good to give thanks to Yahweh and to sing praise to your name , O Most High, 3to declare your covenant love in the morning and your faithfulness night after night, 4with the ten-stringed instrument and the harp, with melody on the lyre. 5For you have made me glad, Yahweh, by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy. 6How great are your works, Yahweh! Your thoughts are very deep. 7A senseless man does not know, and a fool does not understand this: 8when the wicked sprout like grass and all the workers of wickedness blossom, it is only that they may be destroyed forever. 9But you are exalted forever, Yahweh. 10For behold, your enemies, Yahweh—for behold, your enemies shall perish; all the workers of wickedness shall be scattered. 11But you have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox ; I have been anointed with fresh oil. 12My eye has seen the downfall of those who lie in wait for me; my ears hear the doom of the evildoers who rise against me. 13The righteous flourishes like a palm tree; he grows like a cedar in Lebanon. 14Planted in the house of Yahweh, they flourish in the courts of our God. 15They still bear fruit in old age; they are robust and green.
