Psalms 92:1-15 — A Song for the Sabbath

Ps.92.1-15

¹A Psalm, a Song for the Sabbath day. ²It is good to give thanks to Yahweh and to sing praise to your name , O Most High, ³to declare your covenant love in the morning and your faithfulness night after night, ⁴with the ten-stringed instrument and the harp, with melody on the lyre. ⁵For you have made me glad, Yahweh, by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy. ⁶How great are your works, Yahweh! Your thoughts are very deep. ⁷A senseless man does not know, and a fool does not understand this: ⁸when the wicked sprout like grass and all the workers of wickedness blossom, it is only that they may be destroyed forever. ⁹But you are exalted forever, Yahweh. ¹⁰For behold, your enemies, Yahweh—for behold, your enemies shall perish; all the workers of wickedness shall be scattered. ¹¹But you have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox ; I have been anointed with fresh oil. ¹²My eye has seen the downfall of those who lie in wait for me; my ears hear the doom of the evildoers who rise against me. ¹³The righteous flourishes like a palm tree; he grows like a cedar in Lebanon. ¹⁴Planted in the house of Yahweh, they flourish in the courts of our God. ¹⁵They still bear fruit in old age; they are robust and green.
