Psalms 48:1-14The Glory of Zion

Ps.48.1-14
1A song, a psalm of the sons of Korah. 2Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, his holy mountain. 3Beautiful in elevation, the joy of all the earth, is Mount Zion, in the far north , the city of the great King. 4God has made himself known in her citadels as a stronghold. 5For behold, the kings assembled; they advanced together. 6They saw, and they were astounded; they were terrified and fled in haste. 7Trembling seized them there, anguish like a woman in labor. 8With an east wind you shatter the ships of Tarshish. 9As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God; God will establish her forever. Selah 10We have thought on your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of your temple. 11As is your name, O God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth; your right hand is full of righteousness. 12Let Mount Zion rejoice; let the daughters of Judah be glad because of your judgments. 13Walk about Zion and go around her; count her towers. 14Set your heart on her rampart; inspect her citadels, so that you may tell a later generation.
