Psalms 61:1-8 — A Prayer for the King
Ps.61.1-8
1For the choirmaster. On stringed instruments. Of David. 2Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. 3From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 4For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. 5Let me dwell in Your tent forever; let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah. 6For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name . 7May You add days to the days of the king; may his years span generation after generation. 8May he sit before God forever; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to guard him.
