Psalms 85:1-13 — A Prayer for Revival

Ps.85.1-13

¹For the choirmaster . Of the sons of Korah. A psalm. ²You showed favor, O LORD, to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob. ³You forgave the iniquity of your people; you covered all their sin. Selah. ⁴You withdrew all your wrath; you turned from your burning anger. ⁵Restore us, O God of our salvation, and put away your displeasure toward us. ⁶Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations? ⁷Will you not turn back and revive us, that your people may rejoice in you? ⁸Show us your steadfast love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation. ⁹I will listen to what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his faithful ones; but let them not turn back to folly. ¹⁰Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land. ¹¹Steadfast love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other. ¹²Faithfulness springs up from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven. ¹³Indeed, the LORD will give what is good, and our land will yield its produce.
