Psalms 3:1-8 — A Morning Prayer
Ps.3.1-8
1A psalm of David, when he fled from the face of Absalom his son. 2Yahweh, how many are my adversaries! Many are rising up against me. 3Many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah . 4But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts my head. 5I cry out to Yahweh with my voice, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Selah. 6I lay down and slept; I woke, because Yahweh sustains me. 7I will not fear the myriads of people who have set themselves against me on every side. 8Arise, Yahweh! Save me, my God! For you have struck all my enemies on the jaw; you have broken the teeth of the wicked.
