Psalms 8:1-9 — The Glory of God in Creation
Ps.8.1-9
1[For the choirmaster. According to the Gittith . A psalm of David.] 2Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. 3From the mouths of children and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, to silence the enemy and the avenger. 4When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place— 5what is man that you remember him, or the son of man that you care for him? 6You have made him a little lower than heavenly beings , and crowned him with glory and majesty. 7You make him rule over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet: 8all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, 9the birds of the sky and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
