Psalms 28:1-9A Prayer for Help

Ps.28.1-9
1Of David. To you, O LORD, I call; my Rock, do not be deaf to me. Lest, if you keep silent to me, I become like those going down to the pit. 2Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry out to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place. 3Do not drag me away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors, while evil is in their hearts. 4Give to them according to their work, and according to the evil of their deeds. Give to them according to the work of their hands; bring back upon them what they deserve. 5Because they do not understand the works of the LORD, nor the deeds of his hands, he will tear them down and not build them up. 6Blessed be the LORD, for he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. 7The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and with my song I will give thanks to him. 8The LORD is their strength, and he is a stronghold of salvation for his anointed one. 9Save your people, and bless your inheritance ; shepherd them also, and carry them forever.
