Psalms 142:1-7A Prayer in Distress

Ps.142.1-7
1A Maskil of David, when he was in the cave. A prayer. 2With my voice I cry out to the LORD; with my voice I plead to the LORD for mercy. 3I pour out my complaint before him; I declare my trouble before him. 4When my spirit is overwhelmed within me, it is you who know my way. In the path where I walk, they have hidden a snare for me. 5Look to the right and see: there is no one who acknowledges me. Refuge is lost to me; no one cares for my soul . 6I cry out to you, O LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” 7Listen attentively to my cry, for I am brought very low. Rescue me from my pursuers, for they are too strong for me.
