Psalms 63:1-11 — Longing for God
Ps.63.1-11
1A psalm of David , when he was in the Wilderness of Judah. 2O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh yearns for you, in a dry and weary land without water. 3So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, to see your power and your glory. 4Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. 5Indeed, I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. 6My soul is satisfied as with fat and richness, and my mouth praises you with joyful lips, 7when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; 8for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. 9My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. 10But those who seek my soul to destroy it, shall go into the depths of the earth; 11they shall pour him out by the hands of the sword; they shall be a portion for foxes.
