Psalms 58:1-11A Prayer Against Injustice

Ps.58.1-11
1For the choirmaster: “Do not destroy.” Of David. A Miktam . 2Do you indeed speak righteousness, you silent ones ? Do you judge uprightly, you sons of men? 3No, in your hearts you work injustices; on the earth your hands weigh out violence. 4The wicked are estranged from the womb; from the belly they go astray, speaking lies. 5Their venom is like the venom of a serpent, like a deaf cobra that stops up its ear, 6so that it does not listen to the voice of whisperers, of one skillful in binding spells . 7O God, break their teeth in their mouth; tear out the fangs of the young lions, O LORD. 8Let them vanish like water that runs away; when he aims his arrows, let them be as though broken. 9Like a snail that melts as it goes, like a woman's miscarriage that has not seen the sun. 10Before your pots can feel the thornbush, whether green or burning, he will sweep it away in a storm. 11The righteous will rejoice when he sees vengeance; he will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
