Luke 9:37-45 — Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy
Luke.9.37-45
37Now on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a large crowd met him. 38And behold, a man from the crowd shouted, saying, "Teacher, I beg you to look upon my son, because he is my only child. 39And behold, a spirit seizes him, and suddenly he cries out; it convulses him so that he foams at the mouth, and it hardly departs from him, severely bruising him. 40And I begged your disciples to cast it out, and they could not." 41And Jesus answered and said, “O unbelieving and perverted generation , how long will I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.” 42And while he was still approaching, the demon dashed him to the ground and violently convulsed him. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father. 43And they were all astounded at the majesty of God. But while everyone was marveling at all the things he was doing, he said to his disciples, 44“Let these words sink into your ears: for the Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.” 45But they did not understand this statement, and it was concealed from them so that they might not perceive it, and they were afraid to ask him about this statement.
