Luke 23:44-49 — The Death of Jesus
Luke.23.44-49
44And it was already about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, 45as the sun's light failed . And the veil of the temple was torn down the middle. 46And Jesus called out with a loud voice and said, “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” And after saying this, he breathed his last. 47Now when the centurion saw what had happened, he began praising God, saying, “Certainly this man was righteous.” 48And all the crowds that had gathered together for this spectacle, when they saw the things that had happened, returned home beating their breasts in grief. 49But all his acquaintances stood at a distance, along with the women who had accompanied him from Galilee, watching these things.
