Luke 9:28-36The Transfiguration

Luke.9.28-36
28And about eight days after these sayings, he took with him Peter and John and James and went up on the mountain to pray. 29And while he was praying, the appearance of his face became different, and his clothing became white, flashing like lightning. 30And behold, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah. 31They appeared in glory and were speaking about his departure , which he was about to fulfill in Jerusalem. 32Now Peter and those with him were weighed down with sleep, but when they had become fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. 33And as they were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three shelters: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—not knowing what he was saying. 34And while he was saying these things, a cloud came and was overshadowing them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. 35And a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, the Chosen One ; listen to him!” 36And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen.
