Luke 22:47-53 — Jesus Arrested
Luke.22.47-53
47While he was still speaking, look, a crowd arrived, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him. 48But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” 49When those around him saw what was about to happen, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” 50And one of them struck the servant of the chief priest and cut off his right ear. 51But Jesus answered, “No more of this.” And he touched the ear and healed him. 52Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the temple officers, and the elders who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?” 53Every day I was with you in the temple, and you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
