Luke 13:31-35 — Jesus' Sorrow for Jerusalem
Luke.13.31-35
31At that very hour , some Pharisees approached, saying to him, “Leave and go away from here, because Herod wants to kill you.” 32And he said to them, "Go and tell that fox, 'Look, I cast out demons and accomplish healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I finish.' 33Nevertheless, I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, because it is not possible for a prophet to perish outside Jerusalem. 34Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and you were not willing! 35Look, your house is left to you . And I tell you, you will certainly never see me until the time comes when you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'
