Luke.22.24-38

²⁴Now a dispute also arose among them as to which of them was considered to be the greatest. ²⁵And he said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called Benefactors. ²⁶But you, however, are not to be like this. Instead, let the greatest among you become like the youngest, and the one who leads like the one who serves. ²⁷For who is greater, the one dining at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one dining at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves. ²⁸But you are the ones who have remained with me in my trials. ²⁹And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, ³⁰so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom , and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel." ³¹"Simon, Simon , behold, Satan has demanded to have all of you, to sift you like wheat. ³²But I have prayed for you , so that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers." ³³But he said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death.” ³⁴And he said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know me .” ³⁵And he said to them, “When I sent you out without moneybag and traveler's bag and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.” ³⁶Then he said to them, "But now, let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a traveler's bag. And let the one who has none sell his cloak and buy a sword. ³⁷For I tell you that this Scripture which is written must be fulfilled in me: 'And he was numbered with the lawless ones.' For indeed, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment." ³⁸And they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.” And he said to them, “It is enough .”
