Luke 16:19-31The Rich Man and Lazarus

Luke.16.19-31
19There was a rich man who dressed in purple and fine linen and feasted splendidly every day. 20And a beggar named Lazarus had been laid at his gate, covered with sores. 21He longed to be filled with what fell from the rich man's table . But even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22Now it happened that the beggar died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom . The rich man also died and was buried. 23And in Hades , being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in Abraham's bosom. 24And he cried out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this flame.' 25But Abraham said, 'Child , remember that you received in full your good things in your life, and Lazarus likewise bad things. But now he is comforted here, while you are in agony.' 26And besides all this, a great chasm has been fixed between us and you, so that those who want to cross from here to you cannot, nor can any cross from there to us.' 27And he said, 'Then I ask you, father, to send him to my father's house,' 28'for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them solemnly, so that they too may not come to this place of torment.' 29But Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the prophets ; let them listen to them.' 30But he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' 31But he said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.'
