Luke 1:39-56Mary Visits Elizabeth; Mary's Song

Luke.1.39-56
39In those days, Mary got up and went with haste into the hill country, to a town of Judah, 40and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. 41And it happened that when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42And she called out with a loud cry and said, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43And how is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44For behold, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped for joy in my womb. 45And blessed is she who believed that there will be a fulfillment of the things spoken to her from the Lord." 46And Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord, 47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48for he has looked with favor upon the humble condition of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; 49for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. 50And his mercy is from generation to generation upon those who fear him. 51He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts. 52He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly. 53He has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty. 54He has helped Israel his servant, remembering his mercy, 55just as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his offspring forever." 56And Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months, and then returned to her own home.
