Luke 21:29-38The Lesson of the Fig Tree

Luke.21.29-38
29And he told them a parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the trees. 30When they are already sprouting leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is already near. 31So also you, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near. 32Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all things have happened. 33Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. 34"But watch yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of everyday life, and that day come upon you suddenly 35like a snare. For it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36But stay alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that are going to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man." 37Now every day he was teaching in the temple, but every night he would go out and spend the night on the mountain called Olivet. 38And all the people would get up early in the morning to come to him in the temple to hear him.
