Matt.28.11-15

¹¹While they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. ¹²When they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers, ¹³saying, "Say, 'His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.' ¹⁴And if this should be heard before the governor, we will persuade him and keep you without worry." ¹⁵So they took the silver and did as they were instructed. And this story was circulated among the Jews to this very day .
