Matthew 18:15-35Reproof, Forgiveness; Unforgiving Servant

Matt.18.15-35
15Now if your brother sins against you, go reprove him between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16But if he does not listen, take with you one or two more, so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you just as the Gentile and the tax collector. 18Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19Again truly I say to you, that if two of you on earth agree concerning any matter that they may ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. 20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them. 21Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how many times will my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22Jesus says to him, “I do not say to you up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times. 23Because of this, the kingdom of heaven has been compared to a human king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24And as he began to settle them, one debtor of ten thousand talents was brought to him. 25But since he did not have the means to repay, the master ordered him to be sold, along with his wife and children and everything that he had, and repayment to be made. 26Therefore the servant fell down and bowed before him, saying, ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you everything.’ 27And being moved with compassion, the master of that servant released him and forgave him the debt. 28But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and taking hold of him, he began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay back whatever you owe.’ 29Therefore his fellow servant fell down and begged him, saying, ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you.’ 30But he refused; rather, he went and threw him into prison, until he should pay back what was owed. 31So when his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved, and they went and reported to their own master everything that had happened. 32Then summoning him, his master says to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow servant, just as I also had mercy on you?’ 34And angry, his master handed him over to the jailers , until he should pay back all that was owed. 35So also my heavenly Father will do to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your hearts.”
