Matt.14.22-36

²²And immediately he compelled the disciples to get into the boat and to go ahead of him to the other side, until he could dismiss the crowds. ²³And having dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, ²⁴but the boat was already many stadia away from the land , being battered by the waves, for the wind was contrary. ²⁵And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. ²⁶But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. ²⁷But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” ²⁸Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” ²⁹And he said, “Come.” And having gone down from the boat, Peter walked on the water and came toward Jesus. ³⁰But seeing the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” ³¹And immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” ³²And when they had gone up into the boat, the wind ceased. ³³And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” ³⁴And having crossed over, they came to the land at Gennesaret. ³⁵And when the men of that place recognized him, they sent word into all that surrounding region, and brought to him all who were sick, ³⁶and they begged him that they might only touch the fringe of his garment; and as many as touched it were made well.
