Matt.27.27-31
27Then, after taking Jesus into the governor's headquarters , the governor's soldiers gathered the whole cohort around him. 28And stripping him, they put a scarlet robe on him. 29And after twisting together a crown made from thorns , they placed it on his head, and put a reed in his right hand. Then, kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30And after spitting on him, they took the reed and kept striking him on the head. 31And when they had mocked him, they took the robe off him and put his own clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.
