Matthew 8:28-34 — Jesus Heals Two Demon-Possessed Men

Matt.8.28-34

²⁸When he came to the other side, into the region of the Gadarenes , two demon-possessed men met him, coming out of the tombs. They were so fierce that no one could pass that way. ²⁹And suddenly they cried out, “What do you want with us , Son of God ? Have you come here before the time to torment us?” ³⁰Now some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. ³¹And the demons begged him, saying, “If you cast us out, send us into the herd of pigs.” ³²And he said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs . Then suddenly the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and died in the waters. ³³The herdsmen fled, went into the city, and reported everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. ³⁴And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus. When they saw him, they begged him to leave their region.
