Matthew 6:25-34 — Do Not Worry
Matt.6.25-34
25Therefore I tell you: do not worry about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink ; nor about your body, what you shall wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26Look at the birds of the sky: they do not sow or reap or gather into barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27And which of you, by worrying, can add a single cubit to his lifespan ? 28And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they do not toil or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these. 30But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, you of little faith? 31Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry for itself. Enough for the day is its own trouble.
