Matthew 26:6-13Anointing at Bethany

Matt.26.6-13
6Now when Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, 7a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very costly perfume, and she poured it on his head as he was reclining at the table. 8But when the disciples saw it, they were indignant and said, “Why this waste?” 9For this could have been sold for a great deal and given to the poor.” 10But Jesus, knowing this, said to them, “Why are you troubling the woman? For she has done a good deed for me. 11For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me. 12For when she put this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. 13Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told in remembrance of her.”
