Matthew 24:32-44Lesson of the Fig Tree; Watchfulness

Matt.24.32-44
32Now learn the lesson from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33So also you, when you see all these things, know that he is near, right at the doors. 34Truly I tell you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen. 35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away. 36Now concerning that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven nor the Son , but the Father only. 37For as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark, 39and they did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40Then two men will be in the field; one is taken and one is left. 41Two women will be grinding at the mill; one is taken and one is left. 42Keep watch therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44For this reason you also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
