Matthew 15:29-39 — Healings; Feeding of the Four Thousand
Matt.15.29-39
29And moving on from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee; then, having gone up on the mountain, he sat down there. 30And large crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, crippled, blind, mute , and many others, and they laid them at his feet , and he healed them. 31As a result, the crowd marveled as they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy , and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel. 32Then Jesus summoned his disciples and said, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already remained with me three days and do not have anything to eat. And I do not want to send them away fasting, lest they faint on the way.” 33And the disciples said to him, “Where could we get enough loaves in a desolate place to satisfy such a large crowd?” 34And Jesus asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few small fish.” 35And having commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground, 36he took the seven loaves and the fish, and having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowds. 37And they all ate and were satisfied, and what was left over of the broken pieces they took up, seven full baskets. 38Now those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children. 39And having dismissed the crowds, he got into the boat and came to the region of Magadan .
