1When Jesus had finished all these words, he said to his disciples, 2You know that in two days the Passover comes, and the Son of Man is handed over to be crucified. 3Then the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered in the courtyard of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, 4and they plotted in order to seize Jesus by deceit and kill him. 5But they said, “Not during the festival, so that there may not be an uproar among the people.”
