Acts 3:1-10 — Peter Heals a Lame Beggar
Acts.3.1-10
1Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour . 2And a man lame from his mother's womb was being carried, whom they used to place every day at the gate of the temple called the Beautiful Gate, to ask alms from those entering the temple. 3When he saw Peter and John about to enter the temple, he asked to receive alms. 4But Peter, looking intently at him with John, said, “Look at us.” 5So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6But Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have, this I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7And taking him by the right hand, he raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. 8And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. 9And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10And they recognized him as the one who used to sit for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
