Isaiah 39:1-8Envoys from Babylon

Isa.39.1-8
1At that time Merodach-baladan son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah, for he had heard that he had been sick and had recovered. 2And Hezekiah was pleased with them, and he showed them his treasure house: the silver, the gold, the spices, the fine oil, all his armory, and everything found in his storehouses. Hezekiah showed them everything in his house and in all his dominion. 3Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and said to him, “What did these men say, and where did they come from to you?” And Hezekiah said, “They came to me from a distant land, from Babylon.” 4Then he said, “What have they seen in your house?” And Hezekiah said, “They have seen everything that is in my house; I showed them everything among my treasures.” 5Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the LORD of Hosts :” 6"Behold, days are coming when all that is in your house, and what your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD. 7And some of your sons who will come from you, whom you will father, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon." 8And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “Good is the word of the LORD that you have spoken.” For he said, “There will be peace and truth in my days.”
