Isaiah 25:1-12Praise to the Lord

Isa.25.1-12
1O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name ; for you have done wonders, plans you formed long ago in perfect faithfulness. 2For you have turned the city into a heap of rubble, the fortified town into a ruin; the palace of foreigners is a city no more, it will never be rebuilt. 3Therefore a strong people will glorify you; the city of ruthless nations will fear you. 4For you have been a stronghold for the poor, a stronghold for the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; for the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall, 5like heat in a dry place. You subdue the uproar of foreigners; as heat is cooled by the shade of a cloud, so the song of the ruthless is brought low. 6On this mountain the LORD of Armies will prepare for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of refined aged wine. 7And he will swallow up on this mountain the surface of the veil that veils all peoples, and the covering that is spread over all nations. 8He will swallow up death forever. The Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken. 9It will be said in that day, 'Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.' 10For the hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain, and Moab will be trampled down in his place, as straw is trampled down in the manure pit. 11And Moab will spread out his hands in the middle of it, as a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim, but the LORD will bring low his pride together with the cleverness of his hands. 12And the high stronghold of your walls, O Moab, he will bring down , lay low, and cast to the ground, even to the dust.
