Exodus 4:1-17Signs for Moses

Exod.4.1-17
1Then Moses answered and said, “But suppose they do not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say, 'The LORD has not appeared to you.'” 2And the LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” And he said, “A staff.” 3And He said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it became a snake, and Moses fled from it. 4But the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand and grab it by its tail.” So he stretched out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand— 5“This is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.” 6Furthermore, the LORD said to him, “Now put your hand into your cloak.” So he put his hand into his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow. 7Then He said, “Put your hand back into your cloak.” So he put his hand back into his cloak, and when he took it out of his cloak, behold, it was restored like the rest of his flesh. 8"And it will happen, if they do not believe you or listen to the message of the first sign, they may believe the message of the latter sign. 9But if they do not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice , you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. And the water that you take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground." 10Then Moses said to the LORD, “Please, Lord, I am not a man of words, neither in the past nor since You have spoken to Your servant, for I am heavy of mouth and heavy of tongue.” 11And the LORD said to him, "Who gave man a mouth? Or who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? 12Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak." 13But he said, “Please, Lord, send someone else .” 14Then the anger of the LORD burned against Moses, and He said, "Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. 15You shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do. 16He will speak for you to the people, and it will be that he will be a mouth for you , and you will be as God to him . 17And you shall take this staff in your hand, with which you shall perform the signs."
