Exodus 26:1-37 — The Tabernacle
Exod.26.1-37
1You shall make the Tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen, with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn , with cherubim skillfully worked into them. 2The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits. All the curtains shall have the same measure. 3Five curtains shall be joined to one another, and the other five curtains shall be joined to one another. 4You shall make loops of blue on the edge of the end curtain in the first set, and you shall do the same on the edge of the outer curtain in the second set. 5You shall make fifty loops on the one curtain, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is in the second set. The loops shall line up with one another. 6You shall make fifty gold clasps and join the curtains to one another with the clasps, so that the Tabernacle will be one whole. 7You shall make curtains of goat hair for a tent over the Tabernacle; you shall make eleven curtains. 8The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits. The eleven curtains shall have the same measure. 9You shall join five of the curtains by themselves and six of the curtains by themselves, and you shall double the sixth curtain over at the front of the tent. 10You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the outer curtain in the one set, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain in the second set. 11You shall make fifty bronze clasps, put the clasps into the loops, and join the tent together, so that it will be one whole. 12The part that remains over from the curtains of the tent, the half curtain left over, shall hang over the back of the Tabernacle. 13And the extra cubit on one side and the extra cubit on the other side in the length of the curtains of the tent shall hang over the sides of the Tabernacle on each side, to cover it. 14You shall make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering of sea cow hides above that. 15You shall make the frames for the Tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright. 16The length of each frame shall be ten cubits, and the width of each frame a cubit and a half. 17There shall be two tenons on each frame, joined one to another. Thus you shall make all the frames of the Tabernacle. 18You shall make the frames for the Tabernacle: twenty frames for the south side. 19You shall make forty silver bases under the twenty frames: two bases under one frame for its two tenons, and two bases under the next frame for its two tenons. 20For the second side of the Tabernacle, the north side, there shall be twenty frames, 21with their forty silver bases, two bases under one frame and two bases under the next frame. 22For the rear of the Tabernacle on the west side, you shall make six frames. 23And you shall make two frames for the corners of the Tabernacle at the rear. 24They shall be matched together from below, and together they shall be complete at the top up to the first ring. Thus it shall be for both of them; they shall form the two corners. 25So there shall be eight frames with their silver bases, sixteen bases in all: two bases under one frame and two bases under the next frame. 26You shall make bars of acacia wood, five for the frames on one side of the Tabernacle, 27and five bars for the frames on the other side of the Tabernacle, and five bars for the frames of the rear side of the Tabernacle to the west. 28The middle bar in the center of the frames shall run from end to end. 29You shall overlay the frames with gold, and you shall make their rings of gold as holders for the bars, and you shall overlay the bars with gold. 30Then you shall set up the Tabernacle according to the plan for it that you were shown on the mountain. 31You shall make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen, with cherubim skillfully worked into it. 32You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia wood overlaid with gold, with hooks of gold, on four silver bases. 33You shall hang the veil under the clasps and bring the ark of the testimony there inside the veil. The veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. 34You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place. 35You shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand opposite the table on the south side of the Tabernacle; and you shall put the table on the north side. 36You shall make a screen for the entrance of the tent, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer. 37You shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold, and you shall cast five bronze bases for them.
