Exodus 10:21-29The Ninth Plague: Darkness

Exod.10.21-29
21Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the heavens, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, a darkness that can be felt.” 22So Moses stretched out his hand toward the heavens, and there was thick darkness throughout all the land of Egypt for three days. 23No one could see anyone else, nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the Israelites had light in their dwellings. 24Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and said, “Go, serve the LORD. Only your flocks and your herds must be left behind. Even your little ones may go with you.” 25But Moses said, "You must also provide us with sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may offer them to the LORD our God. 26Our livestock must also go with us; not a hoof will be left behind, for we must take from them to serve the LORD our God. And we do not know with what we must serve the LORD until we arrive there." 27But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he was not willing to let them go. 28Then Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Watch yourself; do not see my face again, for on the day you see my face you will die.” 29Moses said, “You have spoken truly; I will never again see your face.”
