Exodus 35:1-35Sabbath Regulations and Offerings

Exod.35.1-35
1Moses assembled all the congregation of the Israelites and said to them, 'These are the things that Yahweh has commanded you to do: 2For six days work shall be done, but the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of complete rest to Yahweh. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. 3You shall not kindle fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.' 4Moses spoke to all the congregation of the Israelites, saying, 'This is the thing that Yahweh has commanded: 5'Take from among yourselves a contribution to Yahweh. Let everyone whose heart is willing bring Yahweh's contribution: gold, silver, and bronze; 6blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, fine linen, and goats' hair; 7ram skins dyed red, fine leather, and acacia wood; 8olive oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; 9onyx stones, and gemstones to be set for the ephod and for the breastpiece. 10'Let every skilled craftsman among you come and make everything that Yahweh has commanded: 11the Tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its clasps and its frames, its crossbars, its pillars, and its bases; 12the ark and its poles, the mercy seat, and the shielding curtain; 13the table and its poles, all its utensils, and the Bread of the Presence; 14the lampstand for the light and its utensils, its lamps, and the oil for the light; 15the altar of incense and its poles, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the screen for the doorway at the entrance of the Tabernacle; 16the altar of burnt offering with its bronze grating, its poles, and all its utensils, the basin and its stand; 17the hangings of the courtyard, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the courtyard; 18the tent pegs of the Tabernacle and the tent pegs of the courtyard, and their cords; 19the woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons to serve as priests.' 20Then all the congregation of the Israelites departed from the presence of Moses. 21Everyone whose heart was stirred, and everyone whose spirit made him willing, came and brought Yahweh's contribution for the work of the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments. 22Both men and women came; all whose hearts were willing brought brooches, earrings, signet rings, and necklaces—all kinds of gold jewelry. Every man presented a wave offering of gold to Yahweh. 23Everyone who possessed blue, purple, or scarlet yarn, fine linen, goats' hair, ram skins dyed red, or fine leather, brought them. 24Everyone presenting a contribution of silver or bronze brought it as Yahweh's contribution, and everyone who possessed acacia wood for any work of the service brought it. 25Every skilled woman spun with her hands, and they brought what they had spun: the blue, the purple, the scarlet yarn, and the fine linen. 26And all the women whose hearts were stirred with skill spun the goats' hair. 27The leaders brought the onyx stones and the gemstones to be set for the ephod and for the breastpiece, 28as well as the spices and the olive oil for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense. 29Every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring material for all the work that Yahweh had commanded to be done through Moses—the Israelites brought it as a freewill offering to Yahweh. 30Moses said to the Israelites, 'See, Yahweh has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 31He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with understanding, with knowledge, and with all kinds of craftsmanship, 32to create artistic designs, to work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, 33in the cutting of gemstones for settings, and in the carving of wood, to work in every kind of artistic craft. 34And He has put it in his heart to teach, both he and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35He has filled them with skill to do all the work of an engraver, of a designer, of an embroiderer in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and in fine linen, and of a weaver—as performers of every craft and creators of artistic designs.
