Mark 16:9-20 — The Longer Ending of Mark
Mark.16.9-20
9Now having risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. 10She went and reported to those who had been with him, as they were mourning and weeping. 11And when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe. 12After these things, he appeared in a different form to two of them as they were walking along, going into the country. 13And they went away and reported it to the rest; but they did not believe them either. 14And later, while the eleven themselves were reclining at table, he appeared to them, and he rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had been raised . 15And he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation . 16The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues, 18they will pick up snakes , and if they drink any deadly thing, it will by no means harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." 19So then the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20And they went out and preached everywhere, with the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.
