Mark 15:1-15Jesus Before Pilate

Mark.15.1-15
1And immediately in the morning, the chief priests, having prepared a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole Council, having bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate. 2And Pilate questioned him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” And answering, he says to him, “You say so.” 3And the chief priests accused him of many things. 4And Pilate was questioning him again, saying, “Do you answer nothing? See how many things they accuse you of!” 5But Jesus answered nothing further, so that Pilate was amazed. 6Now at the feast he used to release to them one prisoner, whomever they asked for. 7And there was the one called Barabbas, bound with the rebels who had committed murder in the insurrection. 8And the crowd went up and began to ask him to do just as he used to do for them. 9And Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” 10For he knew that the chief priests had handed him over because of envy. 11But the chief priests stirred up the crowd so that he might release Barabbas to them instead. 12And Pilate, answering again, was saying to them, “What then shall I do to the one whom you call the King of the Jews?” 13And they shouted again, “Crucify him!” 14And Pilate was saying to them, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him!” 15And Pilate, wanting to do what was satisfactory for the crowd, released Barabbas to them, and he handed over Jesus, having flogged him, so that he might be crucified.
