Leviticus 3:1-17 — The Peace Offering
Lev.3.1-17
1If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings, and he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before Yahweh. 2He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron's sons the priests shall splash the blood against the altar all around. 3From the sacrifice of peace offerings he shall present a fire offering to Yahweh: the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, 4the two kidneys with the fat that is on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver , which he shall remove with the kidneys. 5Then Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar, on top of the burnt offering that is on the wood over the fire. It is a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to Yahweh. 6If his offering for a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh is from the flock, male or female, he shall offer it without blemish. 7If he presents a lamb as his offering, then he shall present it before Yahweh. 8He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it before the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron's sons shall splash its blood against the altar all around. 9From the sacrifice of peace offerings he shall present a fire offering to Yahweh: its fat, the whole fat tail, which he shall remove close to the backbone, and the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, 10the two kidneys with the fat that is on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys. 11Then the priest shall burn it on the altar; it is the food of the fire offering to Yahweh. 12If his offering is a goat, then he shall present it before Yahweh. 13He shall lay his hand on its head and slaughter it before the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron's sons shall splash its blood against the altar all around. 14From it he shall present his offering, a fire offering to Yahweh: the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, 15the two kidneys with the fat that is on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys. 16Then the priest shall burn them on the altar as the food of the fire offering for a pleasing aroma. All the fat belongs to Yahweh. 17It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places: you shall not eat any fat or any blood.
