Leviticus 14:33-57Cleansing from Mildew

Lev.14.33-57
33Then the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 34"When you enter the land of Canaan, which I am giving to you as a possession, and I put an infection of a defiling disease in a house in the land of your possession, 35the one who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, 'Something like an infection has appeared to me in the house.' 36The priest shall command that they empty the house before the priest goes in to examine the infection, so that everything in the house will not become unclean. Afterward, the priest shall go in to examine the house. 37He shall examine the infection, and if the infection in the walls of the house consists of greenish or reddish depressions, and they appear deeper than the surface of the wall, 38then the priest shall go out of the house to the doorway of the house, and shut up the house for seven days. 39The priest shall return on the seventh day and examine it. If the infection has spread in the walls of the house, 40then the priest shall command that they pull out the stones that have the infection in them and throw them into an unclean place outside the city. 41He shall have the inside of the house scraped all around, and they shall dump the plaster that they scraped off into an unclean place outside the city. 42They shall take other stones and put them in place of those stones, and he shall take other plaster and plaster the house. 43"If the infection returns and breaks out in the house after he has pulled out the stones, and after the house has been scraped, and after it has been plastered, 44then the priest shall come and examine it. If the infection has spread in the house, it is a malignant defiling disease in the house; it is unclean. 45He shall tear down the house—its stones, its timbers, and all the plaster of the house—and he shall take them outside the city to an unclean place. 46"Moreover, anyone who enters the house during any of the days that it is shut up shall be unclean until evening. 47Whoever lies down in the house shall wash his clothes, and whoever eats in the house shall wash his clothes. 48"But if the priest comes in and examines it, and indeed the infection has not spread in the house after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the infection is healed. 49To purify the house, he shall take two birds, cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and hyssop. 50He shall slaughter one of the birds in a clay pot over fresh water. 51Then he shall take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet yarn, and the live bird, and dip them in the blood of the slaughtered bird and in the fresh water, and sprinkle the house seven times. 52He shall purify the house with the blood of the bird, with the fresh water, with the live bird, with the cedar wood, with the hyssop, and with the scarlet yarn. 53But he shall let the live bird go outside the city into the open field. Thus he shall make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean." 54This is the law for any infection of a defiling disease, and for a scaly outbreak, 55and for a defiling disease of a garment or of a house, 56and for a swelling, and for a rash, and for a bright spot, 57to teach when it is unclean and when it is clean. This is the law of the defiling disease.
