Numbers 5:1-10 — Purity of the Camp
Num.5.1-10
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2"Command the Israelites that they send away from the camp every leprous person, everyone who has a discharge, and everyone who is unclean by a dead body. 3You shall send away both male and female; you shall send them outside the camp, so that they will not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell." 4The Israelites did so, and sent them outside the camp; just as Yahweh spoke to Moses, so the Israelites did. 5Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 6"Speak to the Israelites: 'When a man or a woman commits any of the sins of mankind, acting unfaithfully against Yahweh, and that person incurs guilt, 7then he shall confess his sin which he has committed. He shall make full restitution for his guilt, add one-fifth to it, and give it to the one he has wronged. 8But if the man has no kinsman-redeemer to whom restitution may be made for the guilt, the restitution made to Yahweh belongs to the priest, besides the ram of atonement with which atonement is made for him. 9Every contribution of all the holy things of the Israelites, which they present to the priest, shall belong to him. 10Each man's holy things shall be his own; whatever any man gives to the priest shall belong to the priest .'"
