Numbers 12:1-16Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses

Num.12.1-16
1Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman he had taken, for he had taken a Cushite wife. 2They said, “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses? Has he not also spoken through us?” And the LORD heard it. 3Now the man Moses was very humble, more than anyone on the face of the earth. 4Suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the Tent of Meeting.” So the three of them went out. 5Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent. He called Aaron and Miriam, and both of them came forward. 6And he said, "Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. 7Not so with my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house. 8“Mouth to mouth I speak with him, plainly and not in riddles; he beholds the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?” 9So the LORD's anger burned against them, and he left. 10When the cloud turned aside from over the tent, suddenly Miriam was afflicted with a skin disease , white as snow. Aaron turned toward Miriam, and saw that she was afflicted with a skin disease. 11And Aaron said to Moses, "Please, my lord, do not lay this sin on us, in which we have acted foolishly and have sinned. 12Please, do not let her be like one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb." 13Then Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “O God, please heal her.” 14But the LORD said to Moses, “If her father had spit in her face, would she not be shamed for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days, and afterward let her be brought in again.” 15So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not set out until Miriam was brought in again. 16Afterward the people set out from Hazeroth and camped in the wilderness of Paran.
