John 6:16-24 — Jesus Walks on the Water
John.6.16-24
16When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea . 17They got into a boat and were going across the sea to Capernaum. It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. 18The sea was being stirred up because a strong wind was blowing. 19After they had rowed about twenty-five or thirty stadia , they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were afraid. 20But he said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” 21Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going. 22On the next day, the crowd standing on the other side of the sea saw that no other boat had been there except one , and that Jesus had not entered the boat with his disciples, but that his disciples had gone away alone. 23However , boats from Tiberias came near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. 24So when the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples was there, they themselves got into the boats and came to Capernaum looking for Jesus.
