John 2:13-25Jesus Clears the Temple Courts

John.2.13-25
13Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14In the temple courts he found those selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and money changers seated there. 15After making a whip from cords, he drove them all out of the temple courts, along with the sheep and the cattle. He poured out the money changers' coins and overturned their tables. 16And he said to those selling the doves, “Take these things away from here! Do not make my Father's house a house of trade.” 17His disciples remembered that it is written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.” 18Then the Jews answered him, “What sign do you show us, since you are doing these things?” 19Jesus answered them, “If you destroy this temple, in three days I will raise it up.” 20Then the Jews said, “This temple was built over forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?” 21But he was speaking about the temple of his body. 22So when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken. 23Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover feast, many believed in his name as they saw the signs he was doing. 24But Jesus, on his part, was not entrusting himself to them, because he knew everyone. 25He had no need for anyone to bear witness about a person, for he himself knew what was in each person .
