Genesis 5:1-32 — From Adam to Noah

1This is the book of the generations of Adam . On the day God created man, he made him in the likeness of God. 2He created them male and female, and he blessed them and named them “Mankind” on the day they were created. 3Adam lived 130 years, and he fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and he named him Seth. 4The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years, and he fathered sons and daughters. 5So the entire lifetime of Adam was 930 years, and he died. 6Seth lived 105 years, and he fathered Enosh. 7Seth lived 807 years after he fathered Enosh, and he fathered sons and daughters. 8So the entire lifetime of Seth was 912 years, and he died. 9Enosh lived 90 years, and he fathered Kenan. 10Enosh lived 815 years after he fathered Kenan, and he fathered sons and daughters. 11So the entire lifetime of Enosh was 905 years, and he died. 12Kenan lived 70 years, and he fathered Mahalalel. 13Kenan lived 840 years after he fathered Mahalalel, and he fathered sons and daughters. 14So the entire lifetime of Kenan was 910 years, and he died. 15Mahalalel lived 65 years, and he fathered Jared. 16Mahalalel lived 830 years after he fathered Jared, and he fathered sons and daughters. 17So the entire lifetime of Mahalalel was 895 years, and he died . 18Jared lived 162 years, and he fathered Enoch. 19Jared lived 800 years after he fathered Enoch, and he fathered sons and daughters. 20So the entire lifetime of Jared was 962 years, and he died. 21Enoch lived 65 years, and he fathered Methuselah. 22Enoch walked with God for 300 years after he fathered Methuselah, and he fathered sons and daughters. 23So the entire lifetime of Enoch was 365 years. 24Enoch walked with God, and he was no more, for God took him. 25Methuselah lived 187 years, and he fathered Lamech. 26Methuselah lived 782 years after he fathered Lamech, and he fathered sons and daughters. 27So the entire lifetime of Methuselah was 969 years, and he died. 28Lamech lived 182 years, and he fathered a son. 29He named him Noah, saying, “This one will bring us comfort from our work and from the painful toil of our hands, because of the ground that Yahweh has cursed.” 30Lamech lived 595 years after he fathered Noah, and he fathered sons and daughters. 31So the entire lifetime of Lamech was 777 years, and he died. 32After Noah was 500 years old , Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
