1 Chronicles 20:1-8The Capture of Rabbah; Philistine Giants

1Chr.20.1-8
1And it came about at the turn of the year, at the time when kings go out, that Joab led out the army and devastated the land of the Ammonites. He came and besieged Rabbah, while David stayed in Jerusalem. Joab struck Rabbah and demolished it. 2David took the crown of their king from his head and found that it weighed a talent of gold , and in it was a precious stone. It was placed on David's head, and he brought out a very great amount of plunder from the city. 3He brought out the people who were in it and assigned them to work with saws, iron picks, and axes. David did the same to all the cities of the Ammonites. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem. 4Afterward war arose at Gezer with the Philistines. Then Sibbecai the Hushathite struck down Sippai, one of the descendants of Rapha , and they were subdued. 5And again there was war with the Philistines, and Elhanan son of Jair struck down Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear shaft was like a weaver's beam. 6And again there was war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot—twenty-four in all. He too was born to Rapha. 7When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimea, David's brother, struck him down. 8These men were born to Rapha in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.
