Romans 16:17-27 — Final Warning and Doxology
Rom.16.17-27
17Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and stumbling blocks contrary to the teaching you learned, and turn away from them. 18For such people do not serve our Lord Christ , but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the innocent. 19For your obedience has become known to all; therefore I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise in what is good and pure in what is evil. 20And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. 21Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you, and so do Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my relatives. 22I, Tertius, who wrote this letter, greet you in the Lord. 23Gaius, my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, greets you, and Quartus, the brother. 24(Absent from the best manuscripts ; some later copies add: 'The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.') 25Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret through long ages, 26but now revealed, and through the prophetic writings made known, by the command of the eternal God, for the obedience of faith among all the nations, 27to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
