Romans 14:13-23 — Do Not Cause Another to Stumble
Rom.14.13-23
13Therefore let us no longer judge one another, but rather decide this: not to place a stumbling block or a trap before a brother. 14I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; except to the one who considers anything to be unclean, to that person it is unclean. 15For if your brother is grieved because of food, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy with your food that one for whom Christ died. 16Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil. 17For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18For the one serving Christ as a servant in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men. 19So then, let us pursue the things that make for peace and the things for the building up of one another. 20Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food. Indeed all things are clean, but it is evil for the person who creates a stumbling block by eating. 21It is good not to eat meat, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything by which your brother stumbles . 22As for you, the faith which you have, keep to yourself before God. Blessed is the one who does not judge himself in what he approves. 23But the one who is doubting stands condemned if he eats, because it is not from faith; and everything that is not from faith is sin .
