1 Corinthians 16:5-24 — Personal Requests and Final Greetings
1Cor.16.5-24
5I will come to you when I pass through Macedonia, for I am passing through Macedonia. 6And perhaps I will stay with you for a while, or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way wherever I may go. 7For I do not want to see you now only in passing, for I hope to remain with you for some time, if the Lord permits. 8But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost. 9For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. 10Now if Timothy comes, see to it that he has no reason to be afraid among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, just as I am. 11Therefore let no one despise him. Send him on his way in peace, so that he may come to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers and sisters. 12Now concerning Apollos our brother, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brothers and sisters; but it was not at all his will to come now. He will come when he has opportunity. 13Keep watch. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 14Let everything you do be done in love. 15Now I urge you, brothers and sisters—you know that the household of Stephanas is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints— 16that you also submit to such people, and to everyone who works together and labors. 17I rejoice at the presence of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because these men have supplied what was lacking from you. 18For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore recognize such people. 19The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, greet you warmly in the Lord. 20All the brothers and sisters greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. 21This greeting is in my own hand—Paul. 22If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Maran atha . 23The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. 24My love be with all of you in Christ Jesus.
