1 Corinthians 12:1-11 — Concerning Spiritual Gifts
1Cor.12.1-11
1Now concerning spiritual gifts , brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. 2You know that when you were pagans, you were led away to mute idols, however you were led. 3Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5and there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord; 6and there are varieties of workings, but the same God who works all things in all people. 7But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8For to one is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and to another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit , 10and to another workings of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as he wills.
